Meet Chef Xan

Passion is what keeps you going, without it, work feels like stress. For me, cooking has never been just work, it’s joy. I wake up every day excited to do what I love: creating food that makes people smile. Cooking is my love language.
At events, after serving meals, you’ll often find me walking around, asking guests what they think of the food, because I value honest feedback. As a private chef, even after serving the first dish, I want to hear my client’s thoughts before continuing; because every plate matters.
My journey into adulthood started early. I had to take on responsibilities to care for myself, my siblings, and my parents, and I carried that resilience into my business. I officially started my culinary career in 2021, shortly after completing culinary school, though I’ve been cooking for over four years now. Since then, I’ve catered events, delivered food trays, prepared surprise meals, baked cakes for birthdays and weddings, and sent out homemade food bowls that bring joy to people’s tables.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is the power of teamwork. Sharing the workload allows me to produce better results, because when I’m not overwhelmed, I can give my best to every single meal.
Beyond the kitchen, I’m also a medical student, studying Radiography & Radiation Science. Balancing business and school hasn’t been easy, it’s been a rollercoaster, but by God’s grace, I keep pushing, surviving, and striving.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy painting (just for fun), attending sip-and-paint events, taking long walks, and listening to gospel music. I smile a lot—because life, to me, is about spreading light, love, and good food.
At the heart of everything I do, I put God first. With Him, I believe I will continue to grow, excel, and touch lives—one plate at a time.
